On the 28th January, members of Dover TKD Power™: Matthew Godden 2nd Dan; John Powel 1st Dan; and Lewis Figes, had the privilege of training with the legendry Mr. Hwang Su-Il 6th Dan,
Chairman of ITF Japan and former World Champion.
Hwang Su-Il is also well known around the world as the model upon which the graphics of the Tekken character `Hwoarang` were based.
We enjoyed an eight hour seminar covering lots of sparring techniques, including several drills that we will be introducing as part of our training regime!
We also covered many aspects of stretching which were very interesting and will also certainly be introducing into our training calendar.
A great day was had by all and I would like to thank Mr. Hwang for coming to England and making it possible for us to experience such a fantastic and inspirational session. He is coming back to England next year and I recommend to any Taekwondo student/Instructor to try and attend!
