TKD Power™ is affiliated with the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) originally based in Vienna, Austria. This is the legally recognised group as determined by the Federal Court of Canada and the Austrian Civil Court.
As representatives of the legal ITF group, we are unable to sanction our members` participation in any external non-ITF events as a group.
We do, however, permit our Instructors to make their own determinations in respect of participation in such events, without any interference from our Executive committee. Subject to their own Instructor`s consent, any member may freely participate in any event, including tournaments, courses and seminars, that the Instructor deems appropriate, or to the general benefit of the individual(s) concerned. The Executive, is always available to provide advice and guidance when, and if, it is sought, but Instructor`s are entirely at liberty to make their own decisions, without let or hindrence.
TKD Power™ members are insured to participate in all events subject to consent for participation in these events being given by the individual member`s Instructor.
Individual members and Instructors are jointly responsible for ensuring that any external events they choose to participate in are safe, appropriately insured, professionally run, and will, in general, be of some benefit to the members participating.
TKD Power™ members are prohibited from participation as members of representative teams for any other organsations or groups without explicit permission, in advance, from the Executive. By constitution, the TKD Power™ Executive consists of ALL current intructors, who each have and equal voting rights, in all matters, irrespective of rank.
