My current grade is 7th Kup (Yellow Belt Green Tab)

Mainly to improve my running, to enjoy participating in a fitness activity with my husband so that we can both encourage each other to get fit.
Started taekwon-do on and off over the years tried, but travelling interrupted a good flow of taekwon-do and I have had to start again. Always encouraged to come along by my husband and the instructor Matthew Godden and his daughter and son they are all so encouraging and helpful.
Just learning, also my first attempt at breaking boards with the art of the fist and not giving in even when my hand started to swell, let’s say I didn’t break the board or my fist so all is good. In the future I will break the boards.
To get my first belt grading, and also to learn to punch correctly like a male not a female.
Just to enjoy the learning and the help of the group.
Happy 44 year old that definitely is feeling age. Generally want to get fitter, enjoying the taekwon-do weekly sessions shame they are interrupted this year by the corona virus pandemic. My main goal is to be able to gain fitness to run better, but this year has been difficult as I have put on a lot of weight. That’s the thing I really need to correct before it gets out of control. But this year has made me think differently about my weight, I still think that if I’m keeping fit that’s a bonus. I know I can lose weight but I just lack motivation sometimes. I’ve always had weight issues, and sometimes all I do is get obsessive about food, but now I am trying to let exercise take over my life a bit more. Thanks to the help of all the people at taekwon-do I feel that is happening, even the younger group members are very encouraging and brilliant to workout with. The instructor Matthew Godden has been an inspirational person to many and it shows through his group members.
